Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Qhorin Halfhand (ranked 332 p4p, 37 weight class) and Jack Morgan (ranked 359 p4p, 39 weight class). Halfhand kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Portugal. The Man - Feel It Still. Jack Morgan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Qhorin Halfhand!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halfhand misses with a looping right.
Halfhand throws a hook but Morgan avoids it easily.
Morgan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Morgan misses with a hook.
Halfhand misses with a low kick.
Morgan cracks Halfhand with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Halfhand misses with a hook
and Morgan counters with a nice right hand that sends Halfhand toppling to the canvas! Halfhand scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Morgan finish him?!
Halfhand is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Halfhand thows a left - swing and a miss!
Morgan flicks out a counter leg kick but Halfhand steps away.
Oh Halfhand is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Halfhand lands a leg kick that knocks Morgan off balance momentarily.
Halfhand misses with a looping right.
And Morgan responds with a good body kick, but Halfhand manages to step out the way in time.
Halfhand seems to have got his legs back now.
Halfhand throws a hook to the side of Morgan's head but Morgan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Morgan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Halfhand misses with a hook
and Morgan counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Halfhand takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Morgan drops Halfhand with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Halfhand looks back up at him and smiles so Morgan waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Decent striking displayed by Halfhand there.
Morgan defending well as Halfhand loads up on a big left hand.
The fighters circling - Halfhand throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Morgan is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Halfhand with a body shot.
Morgan moves out of range of the body kick.
Morgan follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Halfhand throws a combination that misses
and Morgan counters with a left to the body.
Morgan looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Halfhand throws a right and a left that both miss.
A combination from Halfhand does no damage.
Morgan connects with a body shot.
Halfhand is breathing heavily.
Morgan with a jab.
Morgan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Morgan finds Halfhand's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Halfhand flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Morgan lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Halfhand will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Morgan!
Jack Morgan gave a mention to Reaper Combatwear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
Qhorin Halfhand spoke after the fight, saying 'Hard times, man. Hard times.'.
