Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cam Newton (ranked 1316 p4p, 181 weight class) and Stanislav Guschin (ranked 4733 p4p, 554 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Newton might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Superman. Stanislav Guschin acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guschin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Newton connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Guschin scrambles back to his feet.
Guschin goes for a double leg but Newton avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Newton continues to drive forward.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Newton feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Guschin sprawling to the canvas! Guschin rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Newton finish him?!
