Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asu Kuren (ranked 2686 p4p, 339 weight class) and Jackson Hole Wyoming (ranked 23125 p4p, 820 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Asu Kuren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jackson Hole Wyoming! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuren gets in close and instigates a clinch. Wyoming has had enough of the clinch but Kuren keeps him there for the moment. Wyoming gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kuren.
Wyoming tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kuren on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kuren keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wyoming's efforts to push away. Kuren has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Wyoming clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Wyoming is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Kuren has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wyoming shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kuren as he avoids it easily. Kuren changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wyoming will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wyoming misses with a combination
and Kuren counters with a shoot takedown. Wyoming fights it but they end up in guard. Wyoming manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kuren defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wyoming. Asu Kuren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Hole Wyoming. Kuren instigates a clinch. Kuren has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wyoming regains guard immediately. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wyoming seems keen to control Kuren's posture. Kuren trying to control the position from guard on top but Wyoming is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wyoming wriggles free and stands up. Kuren clinches with his opponent.
Wyoming will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kuren up against the cage. Wyoming has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Kuren is looking for a takedown. Wyoming misses with some punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wyoming is trying to break the clinch but Kuren is controlling him. Kuren wants a takedown but no success here.
Wyoming has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kuren after a bit of a struggle. Kuren gets a trip takedown into half guard. Kuren trying to control from half guard but Wyoming is working away. Kuren drops an elbow to the side of Wyoming's head. Wyoming manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kuren keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Kuren drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wyoming gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Wyoming wants to take the fight to the mat but Kuren manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wyoming is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Kuren prevents a body shot from Wyoming. Kuren has hold of one of Wyoming's legs. Wyoming is fighting the takedown attempt but Kuren gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Wyoming thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Wyoming is trying to keep Kuren in close.
Kuren seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jackson Hole Wyoming will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wyoming shoots in looking for a takedown but Kuren manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wyoming's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kuren appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Jackson Hole Wyoming seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick misses from Wyoming. Kuren tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kuren fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wyoming shoots for a takedown but Kuren saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kuren instigates a clinch. Kuren wants a takedown.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kuren trying to control but Wyoming is working from the bottom. Wyoming looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Wyoming tries to land a sweep but no joy. Wyoming is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kuren advances position into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wyoming on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Kuren trying to control the position but Wyoming is working away. Wyoming manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Wyoming moves into full guard.
Wyoming bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kuren's guard. Kuren seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wyoming is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kuren pulls Wyoming in to control the position. Kuren controls Wyoming momentarily but Wyoming frees himself. Wyoming seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kuren is controlling Wyoming's posture. Wyoming trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wyoming slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kuren fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wyoming, pushing him back against the cage. Kuren is working for takedown but Wyoming is calmly controlling the position for now. Wyoming tries to pull guard but Kuren holds him up against the cage and eventually Wyoming drops back down to his feet.
Asu Kuren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Hole Wyoming. Wyoming fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kuren can't get the takedown.

Wyoming throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kuren tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wyoming is in Kuren's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuren is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kuren keeping full guard, as Wyoming tries to pass. Wyoming is fighting to break Kuren's control of his arms but Kuren is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kuren looking to control.
Kuren seems keen to control Wyoming's posture. Kuren keeping moving, preventing Wyoming from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wyoming engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Wyoming is looking to work some ground and pound but Kuren has wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Wyoming closes the distance and clinches. Wyoming fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Wyoming tries to pull guard but Kuren holds him up against the cage and eventually Wyoming drops back down to his feet.
Wyoming jumps guard but Kuren stands there with Wyoming around his waist. Wyoming gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kuren lands a takedown into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kuren wants to control from the top but Wyoming keeps moving. Kuren is stalling in the full guard. Kuren trying to control the position from guard on top but Wyoming is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wyoming is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kuren defends well. Kuren passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kuren trying to control the position but Wyoming is working away. Kuren is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Wyoming's shoulder. That is not cool. Kuren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wyoming keeps working. Wyoming struggling a bit here. Asu Kuren has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jackson Hole Wyoming is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wyoming looks to move to half guard but instead Kuren has passed into mount! Damn!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Asu Kuren. I think Wyoming has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
