Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ultime Fauchelevent (ranked 2581 p4p, 272 weight class) and Aaron Smith (ranked 2560 p4p, 271 weight class). Fauchelevent comes to the cage accompanied by Rue des Cascades. Smith has chosen Lonely Train by Black Stone Cherry as his entrance music. Ultime Fauchelevent has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fauchelevent misses with a takedown attempt
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We've been told by Fauchelevent's head coaches at Jako Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Fauchelevent wants to clinch.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fauchelevent uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Fauchelevent is looking to counter the offense by Smith and move into the clinch.
Fauchelevent tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smith swivels and escapes.
Smith misses with a right hand
and Fauchelevent counters with a single leg into guard. Smith didn't expect that.
Smith is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Fauchelevent is trying to pull guard but Smith has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ultime Fauchelevent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fauchelevent tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Smith lands an elbow just above Fauchelevent 's eye.
It looks like Ultime Fauchelevent has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Smith creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Smith comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Fauchelevent is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Smith connects with a looping right hand.
Fauchelevent uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith throws a looping overhand right but Fauchelevent ducks down to avoid it.
Smith scores with a jab to the jaw.
Smith throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Smith tests Fauchelevent's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Fauchelevent defending well as Smith loads up on a big left hand.
A shot to the liver by Smith. Beautiful body shot.
Smith stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fauchelevent moves out of range of the strikes.
Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fauchelevent wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Fauchelevent throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Smith looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Aaron Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith drops Fauchelevent with a beautiful combination! Fauchelevent stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Smith is looking for the KO!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Fauchelevent is rocked!
Fauchelevent takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Oh Fauchelevent is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fauchelevent uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for Fauchelevent on that attempt.
Smith now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Fauchelevent shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fauchelevent's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
BOOM! Smith lands a beautiful left hook that drops Fauchelevent. Fauchelevent tries to recover but Smith is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Fauchelevent lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
