Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Sanchez (ranked 5725 p4p, 572 weight class) and Mitsu Nagai (ranked 9739 p4p, 725 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mitsu Nagai! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Nagai has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Sanchez is landing a low percentage of strikes. Sanchez wants to clinch up but Nagai keeps it at a distance. Sanchez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nagai to score with a decent uppercut. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Nagai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Jab by Nagai. Sanchez throws a one two combo.
Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nagai throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. A chopping leg kick lands by Nagai. Nagai blocks a low kick nicely. A nice side step and Nagai releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Sanchez throws a big shot that misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nagai misses the shot to the body. Sanchez appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. A slapping body kick lands there for Nagai. Nagai throws a leg kick but Sanchez checks it. A chopping leg kick lands by Nagai. Sanchez tries to clinch but Nagai moves out of range.

Mitsu Nagai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sanchez takes one to the chin there. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nagai swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nagai connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sanchez. Sanchez circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nagai lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sanchez will feel that in the morning. Sanchez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Nagai finds it's way round the side to connect with Sanchez's head. A low kick from Sanchez is predictable there and Nagai counters with a thumping low kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Nagai. That's going to slow Sanchez down. Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nagai looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Miguel Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nagai circles away quickly and effectively. Nagai explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sanchez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nagai at a distance.
Sanchez shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Nagai lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanchez tries to clinch up and Nagai counters with a nice leg kick. Nagai circles away from the clinch attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nagai. Sanchez shoots for a takedown but Nagai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nagai tries a quick counter leg kick but Sanchez is wise to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nagai appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. A slapping body kick lands there for Nagai. Nagai slips a jab and a cross from Sanchez.
Nagai throws a nice inside leg kick. Sanchez throws a leg kick but Nagai sees it coming and checks it nicely. Nagai circles away from the clinch attempt and Nagai counters with a stiff right hand. Sanchez throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Nagai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Nagai has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nagai feints a counter leg kick. Sanchez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nagai moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nagai connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sanchez momentarily.
This has been an exciting period of action! Sanchez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nagai. Nagai obviously looking to wear him down.
Sanchez is looking to clinch but Nagai is avoiding it.
Nagai only half commits to the counter leg kick. Nagai swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sanchez. Sanchez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Nagai connects with a solid leg kick. Sanchez tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nagai counters with a thumping low kick. Nagai scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Nagai's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sanchez under the eye. Nagai lunges at Sanchez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sanchez's hand. Sanchez will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. A jab from Nagai does it's job there.
Sanchez is rocked! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nagai jabs at Sanchez's body. Oh Sanchez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nagai is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sanchez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Nagai lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Sanchez seems to have got his legs back now. An inside leg kick lands from Nagai. Nagai misses with a body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitsu Nagai dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Nagai is looking to control Sanchez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nagai avoid being mounted? Sanchez looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Nagai moves into full guard.
Nagai is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nagai is continuing to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Let's hope that Nagai has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Sanchez is looking to work some ground and pound but Nagai has wrist control. Nagai pulls Sanchez in close to prevent any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanchez is looking to clinch but Nagai is avoiding it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sanchez swings for the body but Nagai moves out of range.
Nagai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sanchez sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nagai's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sanchez under the eye. Sanchez looks to clinch and Nagai counters with a nice body kick. Nagai throws a body kick that misses. Nagai swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nagai tried to score with a low kick but Sanchez checks it. Nice body punch from Nagai. Sanchez throws a body punch but Nagai moves out of range. Nagai jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sanchez looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nagai ducks under a wild hook from Sanchez.

Nice body kick from Nagai. Miguel Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sanchez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nagai was well out of range. Poor timing from Sanchez. Nagai lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sanchez's sensitive parts. Sanchez swings for the body but Nagai moves out of range.
Sanchez has his takedown stuffed and Nagai counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nagai connects with a high kick. Nagai moves into range and connects with a jab. Sanchez is looking to wear down Nagai with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Sanchez doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nagai counters with a nice leg kick. Nagai scores with a punch to the head. Nice body kick from Nagai.

Nagai appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Sanchez tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nagai counters with a nice leg kick. Sanchez gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Nagai gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
