Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abel Lynn (ranked 25021 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rizwan Khan (ranked 5895 p4p, 180 weight class). Rizwan Khan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Abel Lynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rizwan Khan! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lynn did well to prevent Khan getting side control. Lynn manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Khan keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Khan breaks the clinch.
Lynn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Khan paws at him with a jab and circles away. Khan takes the fight into the clinch. Khan wants the takedown. Lynn is fighting it off but Khan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lynn's guard against the cage. Lynn pushes Khan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Rizwan Khan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Khan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lynn on his heels. He'll look to pass Lynn's guard now, I'm sure. Lynn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Khan trying to control but Lynn is working from the bottom. Khan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Khan wants to pass the guard but Lynn is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Lynn. Lynn punching from the bottom.
Ground and pound from Khan. Lynn tries to roll over but Khan keeps him under control. Lynn looks like he's trying to stand up.
Lynn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lynn taking some punishment here, with Khan in his half guard. Khan is working for a kimura but Lynn is defending it quite comfortably.
Khan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynn throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Lynn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Lynn kicks off Khan and gets to his feet. Khan gets tackled into the cage by Lynn. Lynn maintains the clinch. Khan tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Khan jumps into guard, dragging Lynn to the mat.
Khan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lynn is one step ahead there. Khan isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lynn stacks Khan on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lynn! Khan looks winded! Khan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lynn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Lynn is trying to ground and pound but Khan uses the momentary lack of control by Lynn to regain half guard. Lynn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Khan works his way to full guard. Good work. Lynn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Khan can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Khan trying to keep a closed guard but Lynn is proving a slippery customer.
Lynn working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Khan's head. Lynn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lynn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Lynn looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Khan puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Abel Lynn will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Khan closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Lynn's guard. Lynn has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Khan is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Khan has Lynn pressed against the cage, preventing Lynn from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Khan lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Khan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lynn keeps working. Khan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khan passes into side control, despite Lynn's attempt to control the position.
Lynn tries to improve position but can't. Lynn wants to control but Khan postures up. Lynn is trying to improve his position. Khan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Khan is breathing heavily. Khan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lynn to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan misses with a left hand enabling Lynn to counter with a crisp jab. Khan throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Lynn counter with a right hand. Khan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Khan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lynn quickly recovers to half guard. Lynn is trying to escape back to his feet but Khan uses the scramble to pass into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynn explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lynn throws a head kick that misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Khan throws a leg kick that is checked and Lynn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Khan closes the distance and pushes Lynn back into the cage. Lynn breaks from the clinch.
Lynn moves in looking to clinch but Khan pushes him off. Lynn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
It looked like Lynn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Khan. Khan looks to clinch enabling Lynn to counter with a crisp jab. Khan swinging wildly here.
Lynn drops down looking for a counter takedown but Khan sprawls and moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lynn misses with a straight left. Khan is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Khan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Lynn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Khan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lynn's guard. Lynn keeping full guard, as Khan tries to pass. Lynn wants to sweep but no luck. Lynn controls Khan momentarily but Khan frees himself. Abel Lynn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynn has his feet on Khan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Khan shoots in and bounces Lynn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lynn is trying to keep Khan in close.

Abel Lynn dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Lynn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Khan controls the pace. Lynn is working an open guard so Khan takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Khan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lynn's half guard. Lynn has one foot on Khan's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Khan tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Lynn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lynn's half guard. Lynn tries to kick Khan off in order to stand up. Khan Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Lynn tries to improve position but can't. Khan decides to take the fight back to the feet. Khan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lynn quickly recovers to half guard. Lynn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Lynn wants to get back to full guard. Lynn is working hard here to advance position. Khan is figuring out what he wants to do next. Lynn wants to get back to full guard. Khan tries to pass to full mount but Lynn defends it. Khan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Lynn tries to get to full guard but Khan has control of the leg.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Khan gets a takedown into half guard. Lynn misses with some strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan is looking to take a break and control but Lynn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lynn looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Khan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lynn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Lynn is looking to improve his position.
Khan drops an elbow to the side of Lynn's head. Khan sitting and controlling from the half guard. Lynn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rizwan Khan. I think Lynn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
