Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Simmons (ranked 332 p4p, 15 weight class) and Nick Fjera (ranked 552 p4p, 26 weight class). Simmons comes to the cage accompanied by 3Hunna. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Simmons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Nick Fjera! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fjera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Simmons moves away. Fjera misses the jab. Simmons feinted there with a counter leg kick. Fjera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Simmons sprawls well. Simmons wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fjera gets slowly back to his feet. A jab from Fjera misses. Fjera fails with the takedown and Simmons counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Nick Fjera has been cut. Good leg kick by Simmons there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Simmons connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Fjera throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A punch combination from Fjera misses. Fjera just misses with a punch to the body.

and Simmons counters with a crisp one two that drops Fjera! Simmons thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Fjera to his feet! Fjera is in big trouble! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fjera is looking to clinch but Simmons is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fjera shoots for a takedown but Simmons saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Brandon Simmons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Fjera. Simmons cracks the inside of Fjera's front leg. Simmons thuds his right hand into Fjera's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Fjera tries to clinch but fails miserably and Simmons counters with a nice right hand that sends Fjera toppling to the canvas! Fjera scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Simmons finish him?! Simmons throws a shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action! Fjera missing with a left hand there. Simmons was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Simmons cracks Fjera on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Fjera falls backwards against the cage. Simmons follows up with more strikes that drop Fjera to his knees. Simmons keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Fjera! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brandon Simmons! Brandon Simmons spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
