Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Niklas Friedrich (ranked 8374 p4p, 314 weight class) and Eddy Neuhardt (ranked 18755 p4p, 343 weight class). Neuhardt has chosen Street Fighter II Ryu Theme Original as his entrance music. Niklas Friedrich could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eddy Neuhardt's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddy Neuhardt!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Friedrich, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Eddy Neuhardt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Friedrich. No joy for Neuhardt on that attempt.
Friedrich jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Friedrich misses with a looping left.
Neuhardt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Neuhardt's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Friedrich connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Neuhardt scrambles back to his feet.
Friedrich throws a hook but Neuhardt blocks it.
Neuhardt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Friedrich displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Neuhardt.
Niklas Friedrich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddy Neuhardt.
Friedrich thows a left - swing and a miss!

Neuhardt moves away from the strike by Friedrich.
Friedrich misses with a hook. Neuhardt ducked under it nicely.
Friedrich gets tackled into the cage by Neuhardt. Neuhardt maintains the clinch.
Friedrich lands a left hand.
Neuhardt can't get the takedown.
Friedrich lands a hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Neuhardt goes for a takedown in the clinch but Friedrich prevents it.
Neuhardt takes a shot to the head.
Friedrich lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Friedrich lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Neuhardt is rocked!

Neuhardt drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Friedrich gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Neuhardt is still on wobbly legs! Can Friedrich finish him?
Friedrich breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Friedrich feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Neuhardt sprawling to the canvas! Neuhardt rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Friedrich finish him?!
Niklas Friedrich is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Neuhardt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Friedrich manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Friedrich misses with a series of wild punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Friedrich leaves Neuhardt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Friedrich gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Friedrich is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Neuhardt seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Neuhardt tries for a takedown but Friedrich manages to get underhooks.
Friedrich pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Neuhardt closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Friedrich to the mat! Friedrich manages to get full guard.
Friedrich kicks Neuhardt off and gets to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neuhardt shoots in but Friedrich avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Neuhardt looks winded!
Friedrich sends Neuhardt crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Friedrich is motioning to the referee to let Neuhardt up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Eddy Neuhardt has been cut.
Neuhardt misses with a takedown attempt - Friedrich sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Friedrich is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Neuhardt gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Friedrich gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
