Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Casper Alvbris (ranked 2767 p4p, 308 weight class) and Raymond Donde (ranked 2327 p4p, 256 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Alvbris might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Slayer - Bloodline. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donde fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Alvbris to the ground. Donde is now in Alvbris's guard.

Alvbris tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Donde wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've been hearing good reports from Alvbris's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Donde thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Donde working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alvbris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alvbris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
