The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz stuffs the takedown attempt from Das Couves. Das Couves gets slowly back to his feet.
Diaz has managed to clinch.
Diaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Diaz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Das Couves on his heels. He'll look to pass Das Couves's guard now, I'm sure.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Diaz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Das Couves is proving hard to escape from.
Das Couves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Das Couves is tightening it up a little... Diaz has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Diaz reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Diaz taps out! Nice BJJ there by Das Couves!
