The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Red lands with an uppercut that bounces Metdida off the cage and back into range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Metdida.

Metdida is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Metdida shoots in for a double leg but Red sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Metdida's coach down at Lock and Roll Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Metdida's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Gary Red has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lio Metdida.

As Metdida looks to move away, Red throws a big counter combo but Metdida just gets out of the way.

Red looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Red cracks Metdida with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Metdida falls to his knees and Red doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
