Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dillon Bender (ranked 24539 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Carter (ranked 8118 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Dillon Bender has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dillon Bender seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dillon Bender! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Carter! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter takes the fight into the clinch. Carter tries to break free but Bender pushes him back against the cage. Carter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Bender taking a breather. Bender drags the fight down to the ground.
Carter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bender is proving hard to escape from. Bender has Carter pulled in close to control his posture. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bender wants to sweep but no luck. Bender has his hands on Carter's head, controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bender is on top in guard.
Bender's corner is telling him to maintain position. Carter wants to stand but Bender is controlling the position. Carter is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bender dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bender advances nicely into full mount. Bender putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Bender with good strikes from the mount here! Bender content just to control the position here. You get the feeling that Carter really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Carter is bucking up trying to escape but Bender cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Bender lands with some strikes. Bender dominating with strikes here. Carter is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bender. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bender controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bender lands a big elbow. Bender tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Carter squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter is in a horrible position here. Bender smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Bender controlling the position easily from mount. Carter is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bender controlling the position easily from mount. Bender seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Carter for as long as he can get away with. Bender's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bender landing punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dillon Bender dominated that round. That's time! Bender's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bender clinches up against the cage. Carter is trying to break free. Carter tries to break free but Bender pushes him back against the cage. We've been informed that Carter has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Carter wants the takedown. Bender is fighting it off but Carter persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bender's guard against the cage. Bender manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Carter throws a nice looking combination but Bender bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bender feinted with a counter takedown. Carter connects with a jab. Carter connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carter lands with a straight right. Bender didn't see that one coming. Bender darts in and clinches Carter up against the cage. Bender successfully pulls guard.
Bender is pulling down on Carter's head. It's preventing any offense from Carter, at least for the moment. Bender continues to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bender lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Bender looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Carter is looking to stand up but Bender isn't so interested in that idea. Bender gets to his feet - Carter follows without any prompting.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bender fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Carter feints the counter takedown. Nice uppercut lands for Carter. That snapped Bender's head back.
Bender closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Bender moves into the clinch successfully.
Carter tries to break the clinch but Bender is controlling the position. Bender has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Carter uses from the top position. Dillon Bender overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bender is on top in guard.
Bender seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bender has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Bender works over Carter with some ground and pound from guard. Carter wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bender manages to pass to side control. Bender decides to return to a standing position. Bender shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Carter is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Bender with a body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bender closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Carter's guard. Bender forces his way into half guard. Carter wants to stand back up but Bender manages to pass into side control.
Carter is breathing heavily. Carter tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Bender working away from the top, dropping strikes. Bender looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Bender quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bender but it's paid off an Carter is forced to tap! Nice work by Bender.
