Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pit Canthropus Jr (ranked 7440 p4p, 567 weight class) and Kole Nurmagomedov (ranked 7995 p4p, 584 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Canthropus Jr might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Daddy Wasn't There. Kole Nurmagomedov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kole Nurmagomedov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurmagomedov throws a hook but Canthropus Jr avoids it easily.
Canthropus Jr throws a quick counter kick to the body but Nurmagomedov avoids it.
Pit Canthropus Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurmagomedov walks forward, straight into a front kick from Canthropus Jr.
Canthropus Jr sizes up Nurmagomedov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Canthropus Jr looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Canthropus Jr catches Nurmagomedov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Nurmagomedov takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
It looks like Kole Nurmagomedov has been cut.
Canthropus Jr connects with an inside leg kick.
Nurmagomedov throws out a loose jab but Canthropus Jr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Canthropus Jr sizes up Nurmagomedov with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nurmagomedov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Canthropus Jr looks to land a left hand but Nurmagomedov moved out of range nicely.
Nurmagomedov throws a right hand that misses
and Canthropus Jr counters with a one-two to the body.
Nurmagomedov is rocked!
Nurmagomedov walks straight into a right hand from Canthropus Jr - that's dropped him! Canthropus Jr jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nurmagomedov from any more punishment! Nurmagomedov complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Pit Canthropus Jr!
