Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Toa (ranked 4510 p4p, 528 weight class) and Erick Freud (ranked 5177 p4p, 587 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimi Toa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erick Freud! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toa defending well as Freud loads up on a big left hand. Freud has his takedown stuffed and Toa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. No luck with that takedown attempt from Freud. An attempted straight right counter from Toa misses the target. Freud darts in looking for a takedown but Toa gets double underhooks and turns Freud into the cage. Jimi Toa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Freud. Freud moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Freud scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Freud just content to control the position. Freud throws a strike aimed at the side of Toa's head but Toa avoids it well. Freud lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Toa is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Toa takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Freud has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Toa wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Freud taking a break here but Toa is having none of it and regains half guard. Toa wants to get back to his feet.
Freud looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Toa with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Toa wants to get back to his feet. Freud seems to be looking for submissions.
Freud works his way into full mount! Freud is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Toa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Toa is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Freud raining down hammerfists from mount. Freud scoring with strikes but Toa is staying in there. We've been hearing good reports from Toa's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Toa is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Freud wants to control the pace but Toa is squirming around nicely. Toa bucks up and throws Freud to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! Freud fails with the takedown and Toa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Toa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Toa swings for the body but Freud moves out of range.
We've been informed that Freud has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Freud with a lazy takedown attempt and Toa cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Freud shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Toa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Freud doesn't succeed with the takedown and Freud takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Freud ducks under a wild hook from Toa. Left hook, right uppercut from Toa. Freud drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Toa wants to stand up but Freud is controlling him. Freud is looking to work some ground and pound but Toa has wrist control. Toa wants to stand but Freud is controlling the position. Freud is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Toa kicks Freud off and gets to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jimi Toa will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Freud shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Toa makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Freud shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Toa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Toa fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Toa connects with a body shot that sends Freud's belly button to the back. Erick Freud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Toa connects with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Freud doesn't succeed with the takedown and Toa counters with a left to the body. Toa comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Decent striking displayed by Toa there.

Toa leaves Freud with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. It looked like Toa wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Jimi Toa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Freud. Freud with a lazy takedown attempt and Toa counters with a straight right hand. A swing and a miss from Toa. Toa throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Toa with a body punch. A glancing blow. Freud shoots and misses letting Toa counter with a right hand. Toa throws an off balance right hand
and Freud counters with a shoot takedown. Toa fights it but they end up in guard. Toa wants to get back to his feet but Freud is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Freud trying to control but Toa is working from the bottom. Freud prevents Toa from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Freud looking to sit in guard and control but Toa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Freud has a takedown stuffed. Nice straight punches there by Toa. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Toa. Freud misses with a takedown attempt and Toa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Nice takedown defense from Toa. No joy for Freud on that attempt. Toa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Toa clobbers Freud with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Freud is rocked! Toa smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Freud is still on wobbly legs! Can Toa finish him? Freud gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Toa counters with a right hand to the body. Toa scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Freud takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Toa cracks Freud on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Freud falls backwards against the cage. Toa follows up with more strikes that drop Freud to his knees. Toa keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Freud! This one is all over!
