Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josef Dietrich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Koshi Tatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koshi Tatsu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Josef Dietrich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Koshi Tatsu! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatsu shoots in but Dietrich avoids the takedown attempt easily. Dietrich throws a right and a left that both miss. Dietrich lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tatsu circles away quickly and effectively. Tatsu misses with a series of wild punches.
Tatsu misses with a takedown attempt - Dietrich sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tatsu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dietrich is fending him off so far but Tatsu persists. Nope, Dietrich circles away and we're back to standing. Josef Dietrich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Koshi Tatsu. Dietrich rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tatsu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dietrich cracks Tatsu with a right hand to the side of the head. Dietrich tries to clinch but Tatsu moves out of range. Dietrich shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dietrich was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Dietrich looking for a guillotine from mount but Tatsu is having none of it. Tatsu is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsu sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tatsu is trying to maintain the position but Dietrich is very close to passing his half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatsu wants to improve his position but Dietrich is controlling well.
Tatsu moves into full guard.
Tatsu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dietrich stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tatsu swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dietrich is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Dietrich looking to pass the guard. Tatsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tatsu wants to sweep here but Dietrich controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dietrich trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tatsu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dietrich decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tatsu's guard. Tatsu looks gassed! Tatsu looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Dietrich drops back looking for a leg! Tatsu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tatsu manages to kick Dietrich off! Dietrich jumps back into Tatsu's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josef Dietrich dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Dietrich moves in looking to clinch but Tatsu pushes him off. Tatsu shoots and misses and Dietrich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tatsu's guard now. Dietrich controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Dietrich works a leg free and moves into half guard. Dietrich is stalling here. Tatsu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dietrich seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tatsu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Dietrich is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsu is trying to get an arm triangle but Dietrich is defending well. Tatsu is breathing heavily. Dietrich can't do much from the bottom here. Dietrich is not content to let Tatsu control the position. Dietrich is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tatsu wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dietrich, who protects the arm well. Dietrich struggling a bit here.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Dietrich pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Dietrich closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dietrich looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. You can see the frustration on Tatsu's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Tatsu tries to bench press Dietrich off him but Dietrich keeps the position. Dietrich takes a little break here. Tatsu wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Dietrich working the ground and pound. Dietrich trying to control the action but Tatsu is working from the bottom. Tatsu tries to bench press Dietrich off him but Dietrich keeps the position. Dietrich in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Tatsu is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Josef Dietrich!
