Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Belcher (ranked 2194 p4p, 73 weight class) and Paul Johnson (ranked 1260 p4p, 46 weight class). Johnson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kung Fu Fighting kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gregory Belcher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Johnson! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson tries to clinch there but Belcher circles away.
Belcher looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Belcher looks for a takedown but Johnson sprawls well. Johnson clinches up against the cage. Johnson scores with a nice hook to the head. Belcher blocks a body shot from Johnson. Belcher is trying to break the clinch but Johnson has him pressed against the cage. Belcher gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Johnson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Belcher presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Johnson trying to land knees to the body.

It looks like Gregory Belcher has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Belcher takes an elbow to the temple. Johnson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Belcher blocks it with crossed arms. Johnson lands a shot to the body. Johnson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Belcher lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Johnson lands a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Johnson misses with a punch on the inside.
Johnson crunches a lovely knee into Belcher's ribcage. Johnson lands a nice elbow. Johnson trying to land knees to the body.
Johnson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Belcher has Johnson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Belcher pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Johnson tumbling to the mat - Belcher dives into Johnson's guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Johnson manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Belcher's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson lands with a short head shot on the inside. Belcher goes for a takedown attempt but Johnson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Johnson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson throws a knee to the head but misses.
Nice body punch from Johnson. Johnson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Belcher's elbow. Johnson misses with a knee to the head. Belcher avoiding damage as Johnson throws knees to the body.
Johnson scores with a nice hook to the head. Johnson misses with some punches.

Johnson lands on the inside with an uppercut. Johnson doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Johnson tries to work over Belcher's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Johnson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Belcher avoids it. Johnson connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Belcher goes down! Johnson jumps into full mount looking to finish!
Belcher is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson loads up with a big shot that hurts Belcher! He's pulled Johnson in close but Johnson has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Belcher survive? More strikes from Johnson and Belcher is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Paul Johnson! A relieved looking Paul Johnson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. In defeat, Gregory Belcher stepped up to the mic, saying 'Behaaaave'.
