Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geraldo Reid (ranked 8884 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Shield (ranked 5852 p4p, 0 weight class). Walter Shield will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Geraldo Reid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter Shield!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shield tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reid swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Shield tries to get set, Reid tries to push him back and clinch up but Shield manages to avoid the attempt.
Reid tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Shield tries a head kick but it misses.
Shield doesn't manage to clinch there - Reid circles away.

Shield shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reid as he jumps to the side.
Shield closes the distance and clinches up with Reid, looking for a takedown. Shield pushes Reid against the cage but Reid circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Shield breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good shot there by Shield.
Reid changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shield looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Shield's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Reid thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shield has one of Reid's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Shield is trying to control Reid's posture but Reid avoids it.
Shield tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Reid is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shield is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Reid tries for a kimura but Shield is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Shield's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reid throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Shield works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Shield manages to get to full guard.
Reid avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reid wants to get up but he can't break Shield's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shield is on top in guard.
Reid keeping moving, preventing Shield from controlling successfully.
Shield wanted to stand there but Reid had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shield passes Reid's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Reid is looking to get back to full guard here but Shield has managed to pass to side control instead.
Reid could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Reid sneaks back into half guard.
Shield has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Reid defend it? Shield steps over the head and cranks it - Reid is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Shield!
