Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vand Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Silva tries to get to full guard but Penn has control of the leg.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Penn stands up out of the half guard.
Penn shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Penn controlling from the top position.
Penn works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Penn trying to pass the guard but Silva defending well.
Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Penn.
Silva has a hand on Penn's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Penn takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Penn has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Penn cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Penn on the ground.

Silva is wriggling around trying to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Penn has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Silva's face.

Penn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silva is squirming around, avoiding Penn's attempts to control the action.

Despite being in the dominant position, Marco Penn just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Penn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.
Penn is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Penn has managed to sneak the leg through.
Penn works his way into side control.
Penn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Silva knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Penn has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Penn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva is trying to improve his position.
Penn stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Penn swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Penn takes one to the chin there.
Penn moves into the clinch successfully.
Penn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Penn has managed to clinch.
Penn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Penn feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Silva will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Penn postures up.
Penn is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Penn has managed to sneak the leg through.

Penn stuffs the takedown attempt from Silva. Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Penn lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Penn throws a head kick that Silva semi-blocks.
Silva misses with a hook.
Vand Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Penn changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Silva is on top in guard.
Penn is trying to control the position but Silva postures up.
Silva working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Penn's head.

Penn bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
Silva pushes Penn off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Penn is out of range.
Penn shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Penn tightens his grip and picks Silva up, before dumping him to the ground. Silva manages to land in guard.

Penn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silva, pushing him back against the cage.

Marco Penn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Penn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
