Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jodi Joe Fjera (ranked 1115 p4p, 160 weight class) and Comeon Hitme (ranked 2734 p4p, 353 weight class). Fjera comes to the cage accompanied by Tito & Tarantula . Hitme has chosen Face Fisted - Dethklok as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jodi Joe Fjera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Comeon Hitme!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitme shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fjera as he jumps to the side.
Fjera tries to bum rush Hitme with a series of wild strikes but Hitme uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hitme crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fjera - the referee stops the clock and Hitme gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fjera. Hitme manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Fjera ducks under a wild hook from Hitme.
Fjera ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hitme moves away.
Fjera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hitme but Hitme pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hitme throws a series of strikes that have Fjera backpedaling.
Fjera tries a head kick but it misses.
Hitme misses the shot to the body.
Hitme just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromFjera.

Fjera throws a series of punches but Hitme avoids them all with ease.
Hitme feints and as Fjera raises his hands in defense, Hitme changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hitme must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hitme has his foot on Fjera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fjera works his way back into a safe position though.

Hitme has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Fjera is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hitme.

We've been hearing good reports from Fjera's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Fjera connects with a nice short shot to Hitme's temple.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hitme's coach down at Rabid Dog was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hitme's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Comeon Hitme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fjera throws a front kick that sends Hitme stumbling back into the cage.
