The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Reed controlling from the top position.
Reed sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Link's guard.
Reed seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Reed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Reed is nestled in close to Link, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Reed is controlling the pace.
Reed lands strikes from half guard.
It looks like Boa Link has been cut.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Reed in particular looking to stall.
Link is looking to escape.
Reed working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Boa Link's cut is getting worse.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reed landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Boa Link's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Jeez, Boa Link's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Boa Link's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
