Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Sullivan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mister McNasty! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Ben Hemmingworth and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sullivan throws a series of punches but McNasty moves out of range. Sullivan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McNasty manages to avoid it. Sullivan misses with a hook
and McNasty counters by moving into the clinch. A shot in the inside from McNasty. McNasty lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Sullivan or not. Sullivan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McNasty just stands there and leans against the cage. McNasty scores with a nice hook to the head. McNasty lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sullivan backwards. Sullivan jumps guard but McNasty turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. A nice left hand lands by McNasty.
McNasty lands a body shot in the clinch.
Sullivan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McNasty just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Sullivan. That's going to take a lot out of him. McNasty lands a nice shot to the body. McNasty lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Sullivan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McNasty smiles and moves away.
Sullivan is breathing heavily. Sullivan gets off balance looking for a body kick and McNasty counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McNasty. McNasty lands an uppercut. McNasty lands a big right hand that drops Sullivan! The killer instinct kicks in and McNasty finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by McNasty!
