Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Sharp (ranked 787 p4p, 124 weight class) and Jack Shaw (ranked 669 p4p, 107 weight class). Sharp comes to the cage accompanied by Immortal Technique-Cause Of Death. Shaw is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Family Force 5 - Chainsaw. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw throws a hook to the side of Sharp's head but Sharp sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Shaw has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Shaw throws a jab but it's blocked by Sharp.
Sharp pivots, looking for a leg kick but Shaw is out of range and Sharp settles back down.
Shaw needs to keep his hands up - Sharp had a free shot at his head there.
Sharp throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sharp jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Shaw works the jab nicely.
Shaw throws a body shot but no joy.

and Shaw counters by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shaw lands a hook to the side of the head.
Sharp has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Shaw tries to bum rush Sharp with a series of wild strikes but Sharp uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Shaw takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Sharp throws a low kick but it's checked well by Shaw.
Sharp uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shaw.
Shaw throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Sharp counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shaw's knee momentarily.
Shaw works the jab nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sharp shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Shaw lands with a good body shot.

Sharp takes one to the chin there.
Shaw cracks a nice hook into Sharp's ribs.
Shaw throws a lazy uppercut
and Sharp counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Victor Sharp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shaw with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sharp to score with a decent uppercut.

Shaw has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sharp finds it's way round the side to connect with Shaw's head.

and Sharp counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Shaw thinking.
Shaw throws an overhand right that lands on Sharp's shoulder, as Sharp tries to avoid the shot.
Sharp is looking to counter punch.
Sharp scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Sharp is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Sharp throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Sharp scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Shaw is rocked!
Sharp fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shaw.
Shaw is still on wobbly legs! Can Sharp finish him?
That kick from Sharp tenderised Shaw's leg. Shaw is trying to keep his angry face on.
Sharp goes for a small jab and connects. Now Sharp goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Shaw stumbles back but Sharp runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Shaw to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Shaw will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
