Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hopper (ranked 24923 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blaine Paine (ranked 5880 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Hopper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Blaine Paine! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paine shoots for a double leg takedown but Hopper sprawls well. He's pushed Paine's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Paine stuffs the takedown. No luck with that takedown attempt from Paine. Paine shoots in and gets a takedown into Hopper's guard. Hopper wants to get back to his feet but Paine is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hopper looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hopper has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Paine has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Hopper tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Paine just stands there and leans against the cage. Paine turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Hopper bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
That's one minute gone in the round. Paine shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Paine was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hopper sneaks out the side door and pushes Paine away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Paine throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hopper tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Paine is in Hopper's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hopper wants to stand and escape but Paine is having none of it. Paine got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hopper has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Paine has managed to get both his arms back between Hopper's legs - danger averted. Paine really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hopper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Hopper throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Hopper wriggles free and stands up. Hopper fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Paine manages to avoid it. Paine throws out a counter right but Hopper avoids it with no problem. Paine looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hopper kicks off Paine and gets to his feet. Hopper is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paine fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hopper, pushing him back against the cage. Hopper stalling.
Paine has Hopper pressed against the cage, preventing Hopper from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Hopper working hard to break the clinch. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Paine tries to pull guard but Hopper forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Jack Hopper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Blaine Paine. Hopper can't break the clinch.
Hopper blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Paine manages to break the clinch.
Paine rushes Hopper and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hopper is looking to break free of the clinch but Paine has double underhooks. Hopper is trying to break free. Paine stalling against the cage.
Paine is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hopper gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Hopper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Paine bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hopper gets back to half guard. Paine looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Hopper is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hopper looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Paine is keen to just control but Hopper is a slippery customer. Hopper wants to control but Paine passes into side.

Hopper is trying to get back to half guard. Paine working away. Paine stands up and we're back to a striking position. Hopper gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Hopper dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Paine lands with a hook. Hopper tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Paine moves into the clinch. Paine working aggressively here.
Paine decides to pull guard. Hopper stopping the sweep attempt from Paine. Jack Hopper overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hopper gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Paine working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hopper stands and steps away. Paine gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Hopper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Paine scores with a jab to the body. Paine keeps the fight on the outside. Paine shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hopper is trying to defend but Paine finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Hopper is trying to escape back to his feet but Paine uses the scramble to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paine scoring with punches from side control. Hopper manages to get back to half guard. Hopper trying to hold on to Paine's head to control him but Paine postures up.
Paine perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hopper makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hopper. Hopper is looking for a triangle here but Paine uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Paine lands a few punches from side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Paine working away. Hopper is trying to get back to half guard. Hopper is trying to buck Paine off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hopper is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Hopper tries to bench press Paine off him but Paine keeps the position. Hopper is not content to let Paine control the position. Paine has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hopper! Paine trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hopper is trying to escape the mount.
Paine raining down hammerfists from mount. Paine punishing his opponent with strikes. Hopper is in all sorts of trouble here.
Paine trying to control but Hopper is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paine tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Paine trying to control but Hopper is having none of it. Hopper tries to hold on but Paine pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blaine Paine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hopper tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Paine defends well and Hopper ends up having to push Paine into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hopper breaks the clinch.
Jack Hopper is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hopper tries to keep at a distance but Paine has taken the fight into the clinch. Hopper pressing his opponent against the cage. Hopper jumps guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hopper keeping moving, preventing Paine from controlling successfully. Hopper has a closed guard, preventing Paine from standing up. Hopper tries to strike from the bottom.
Hopper is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Paine is defending well against a takedown attempt. Paine displaying some good clinch control by pressing Hopper up against the cage. Hopper is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hopper is pushing Paine up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Hopper pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Paine throws a sloppy head kick and Hopper moves out of range easily. Paine moves into the clinch successfully.
A bit of stalling here from Paine.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Paine breaks from the clinch.
No joy there for Paine, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Hopper showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hopper has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
