Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rhasaan Orange! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rizzo Young! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Young thuds his right hand into Orange's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Orange closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Orange is looking for a kimura but Young is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Orange to get the leverage. Orange seems to be looking for submissions.
Orange is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Young is just riding it out for now. Orange eventually gives up the hold. Orange not landing any meaningful shots this time. Young looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Young wants to control but Orange is keeping busy and won't allow it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Orange is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Young is just riding it out for now. Orange eventually gives up the hold. That's one minute gone in the round. Young has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Orange is working away from the top position though. Orange passes to full mount! Young sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. That's two minutes gone in the round. Young is looking to control Orange's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Young avoid being mounted? The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Young is looking for a sweep. Orange is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Orange missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Orange is looking for a kimura but Young is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Orange to get the leverage. Orange thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Young's head. Young tries to roll over but Orange keeps him under control. Orange is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Orange drops back looking for a leg! Young is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Young manages to kick Orange off! Orange jumps back into Young's guard. Young trying to keep a closed guard but Orange is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Orange stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Young swivels though and keeps the full guard. Our spies down at at Gym 412-RoaR sponsored training facility inform us that Young has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Orange throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Young works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Orange looking to pass the guard. Orange drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Orange jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Young is looking for a triangle but Orange pushes his legs off easily.
Young looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Orange has picked Young up and slammed him! Young can't keep hold of the triangle and Orange manages to pass to side control! Young tries to bench press Orange off him but Orange keeps the position. Young is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Orange off and has taken his back! Young looking for the choke but no joy. Orange is really stuck here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Young working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Orange is doing well to defend. Young seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Orange is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rizzo Young! Rizzo Young retains his middleweight title! Rizzo Young was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. The defeated Rhasaan Orange had this to say: 'Lucky Bitch Beat me!'.
