Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Floyd Carr (ranked 24567 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Moore (ranked 5562 p4p, 0 weight class). Travis Moore has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Floyd Carr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Moore!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Moore tries to free his leg and advance position but Carr is retaining full guard.
Carr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Moore drops back, looking for a kneebar! Carr looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Carr looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Carr!

Moore is letting Carr control him for a moment.
Moore tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moore manages to work his way to half guard, despite Carr's best efforts.
Carr tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Moore throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Moore is trying to maintain the position but Carr is very close to passing his half guard.
Moore tries to kick Carr off but Carr keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Carr content to control rather than advance.
Moore is looking to control Carr's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moore avoid being mounted?
Moore is looking to improve his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Moore punching from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Moore gets the takedown into side control.

Carr bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Moore checks the leg kick.

Moore closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moore lands in his opponent's guard.

Carr looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Carr will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Carr wants to get back to his feet but Moore is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Moore trying to control the position from guard on top but Carr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Carr is adopting a defensive guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Carr pushes Moore up against the cage in a clinch.

Carr tightens his grip and picks Moore up, before dumping him to the ground. Moore manages to land in guard.
Moore controls Carr momentarily but Carr frees himself.
Carr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moore controls Carr momentarily but Carr frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moore has closed the distance and engaged Carr in a clinch.

Moore lands a takedown into guard.
Carr keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Moore working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Carr is pulling down on Moore's head to control his posture.

Carr pushes Moore off and gets back to his feet.

Moore fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carr, pushing him back against the cage.

Carr successfully pulls guard.
Moore trying to control the position from guard on top but Carr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carr keeping full guard, as Moore tries to pass.
Moore stops Carr from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moore throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carr works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Moore passes into half guard.

Moore is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Carr is controlling Moore's trapped leg to prevent Moore from advancing to side control.

Moore is working for a submission of some sort.
Moore is breathing heavily.
Carr keeps control of the position for the meantime.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carr is trying to escape back to his feet but Moore uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Moore laying and praying for a moment but Carr takes advantage and regains half guard.

Carr kicks Moore off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Moore has closed the distance and engaged Carr in a clinch.

Moore has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Carr regains guard immediately.
Carr has control of Moore's left arm, preventing Moore from doing any damage.
Carr is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Carr seems keen to control Moore's posture.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close second round but Travis Moore will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Moore lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Carr throws a poor cross that misses

and Moore moves into the clinch.
Moore gets underhooks to prevent Carr's takedown attempt.
Moore is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Moore decides to pull guard.
Floyd Carr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Moore working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Carr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Moore tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Carr is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Moore is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Carr's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Moore wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Carr stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Moore takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A good leg kick by Moore.

Moore pushes Carr up against the cage in a clinch.
Moore tries to stall but Carr uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Moore is pressed up against the cage. Carr has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Moore down to the mat. Moore avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Floyd Carr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Carr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Moore is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Carr asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Moore struggling a bit here.
Carr is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Carr decides to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Carr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
As Carr backs off Moore throws a huge counter combo but Carr manages to avoid it all.

Carr gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Moore to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Carr wriggles free and stands up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Floyd Carr showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Carr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
