PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yung Hung Dong (ranked 1712 p4p, 79 weight class) and Testicular Cancer (ranked 1185 p4p, 55 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Yung Hung Dong has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Yung Hung Dong seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Testicular Cancer!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A shot to the body from Cancer misses
and Dong counters with a series of strikes. Cancer will be more careful next time no doubt.
Cancer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dong.
Dong chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Cancer punishes Dong's body with a nice straight punch.
Cancer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Dong counters with a nice body kick.
Cancer misses with a lunging right hand
and Dong counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Cancer throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Dong connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cancer.
A little feinted left hand from Dong on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Nice defenses there by Dong.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cancer slips a jab from Dong.
Dong throws a nice inside leg kick.
Dong cracks the inside of Cancer's front leg.
Cancer lands a glancing blow to the side of Dong's head.
Cancer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dong doesn't seem bothered though.

Cancer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dong moves away.
Nice body kick there by Dong.
Cancer throws a jab when Dong was well out of range.
And Dong counters with a quick kick to the body but Cancer blocks it.
Cancer missing with a left hand there. Dong was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dong tried to counter with a leg kick but Cancer avoided it.

Cancer throws an overhand right that lands on Dong's shoulder, as Dong tries to avoid the shot.

Cancer tries to throw a body punch but Dong avoids it by throwing Cancer back against the cage.

Dong tries to pull guard but Cancer forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Dong tries to work over Cancer's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Cancer has a couple of punches blocked by Dong.

Dong is trying to pull guard but Cancer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cancer swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Dong blocking some punches.
Cancer goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Cancer tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Cancer lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dong backwards.
Cancer struggles to land a body shot inside as Dong controls his hands.
Dong tries to throw a body punch but Cancer avoids it by throwing Dong back against the cage.
Cancer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dong's elbow.
A short body shot lands from Dong as the two fighters clinch.

Cancer swings wildly with an uppercut but Dong uses good head movement to avoid it.

Dong pulls guard.
Dong keeping moving, preventing Cancer from controlling successfully.

Dong has his foot on Cancer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cancer works his way back into a safe position though.
Dong seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Cancer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Dong controls Cancer momentarily but Cancer frees himself.

Dong is looking to cinch up a triangle. Cancer throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Dong's body to avoid the submission. Dong has instead reached around Cancer's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Dong arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Yung Hung Dong!
