Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spencer Slugger!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Mauricio Rocha and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mays defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slugger.
Slugger shoots in for a takedown but Mays shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A quick step to the side and Mays tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slugger has a takedown stuffed.

Slugger lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Mays has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Slugger is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mays.

Slugger changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mays tries to avoid it but Slugger manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mays to the ground. Mays escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Slugger darts in looking for a takedown but Mays gets double underhooks and turns Slugger into the cage.

Mays feints and as Slugger raises his hands in defense, Mays changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
