Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alberto El Parton (ranked 23639 p4p, 859 weight class) and Marcus Wood (ranked 24973 p4p, 793 weight class). El Parton comes to the ring accompanied by Licensed Tequila. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alberto El Parton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Wood!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

El Parton darts in and clinches Wood up against the ropes.
El Parton blocks an uppercut.
El Parton goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Wood will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning El Parton up against the ropes.
El Parton stalling in the clinch but Wood improves position.
Wood fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
El Parton tries to pull guard but Wood won't allow it.
Wood tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

El Parton jumps into guard, dragging Wood to the mat.

El Parton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wood can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wood postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
El Parton tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Wood loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Wood is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. El Parton is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

El Parton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, El Parton has managed to get both his arms back between Wood's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
El Parton misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wood unleashes a big counter combination but El Parton bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Marcus Wood is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wood lands a nice hook to El Parton's body. El Parton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Wood throws a hook to the side of El Parton's head but El Parton sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
El Parton seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

El Parton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wood to the mat! Wood manages to get full guard.

El Parton clinches up with Wood and pushes him back against the ropes.
El Parton blocks the elbow strike.
Wood throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
El Parton has Wood pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Wood manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
El Parton wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Wood breaks from the clinch.
El Parton closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wood circles away.

Well Wood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
