Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward George (ranked 6523 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Shield (ranked 5095 p4p, 0 weight class). Edward George has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Edward George! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Walter Shield! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shield closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Shield breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Shield tries to sprawl but George drives through with a takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Shield misses with some strikes from the bottom.
George stops Shield from getting back to his feet.
Shield looking for submissions off his back. Shield moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. George wants to stand but Shield is controlling his posture from full guard. Shield has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but George can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. George prevents Shield from getting back to his feet. George is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Shield looking to hit a scissor sweep but George is one step ahead there. George won't allow Shield to get back to his feet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Shield trying to keep a closed guard but George is proving a slippery customer.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by George. Shield tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but George wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. George really is a fat lump. Shield wants to control but George postures up. Shield is looking to regain half guard here but George keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shield looking for a sweep but George has passed into full mount! Oh no! Shield really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shield manages to control the position for a moment. Shield tries to improve his position but instead George has taken his back! Shield is trying to stand back up. George controlling well, preventing Shield from escaping the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! George is not going to allow Shield to sit and survive in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Edward George will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Shield looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. George is looking to improve his position.
George blocking the ground and pound attempt from Shield. Shield is trying to control the action in half guard but George is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shield with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. George has a hand on Shield's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Shield takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's one minute gone in the round. Shield sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! George is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shield thowing shots but they're missing. Shield thowing shots but they're missing. George might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shield throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shield looking to finish with strikes here!
Shield misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Shield throwing strikes but George bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top. Shield is looking to cinch up a triangle. George throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shield's body to avoid the submission. Shield has instead reached around George's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shield arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Walter Shield!
