The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sun Lee stuffs the takedown.

Sun Lee darts in and clinches Pitts up against the cage.
Pitts is pressed up against the cage. Sun Lee has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pitts down to the mat. Pitts avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sun Lee drops back looking for a leg! Pitts is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pitts manages to kick Sun Lee off! Sun Lee jumps back into Pitts's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pitts has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Sun Lee drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pitts manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sun Lee has Pitts in his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Lionel Pitts will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Sun Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Pitts, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Despite the aggression on Sun Lee's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Pitts looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sun Lee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Pitts decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sun Lee, up you get!
Pitts changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sun Lee tries to avoid it but Pitts manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sun Lee to the ground. Sun Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
