PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marciano Cobb (ranked 2350 p4p, 302 weight class) and Borys Hund (ranked 4032 p4p, 480 weight class). Cobb comes into the arena with Miley Cyrus - Party In The U.S.A. blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marciano Cobb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Borys Hund!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hund looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cobb misses with an uppercut. Hund saw that one coming.
Cobb keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cobb was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Hund tries for a takedown but Cobb sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marciano Cobb has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Borys Hund.
Cobb throws a shot from downtown. Hund moves away and avoids it.
Hund changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cobb tries to avoid it but Hund manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cobb to the ground. Cobb escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hund shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hund tries to clinch but Cobb moves out of range.
Cobb connects with a jab.
Cobb fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Hund tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Cobb defends well and Hund ends up having to push Cobb into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hund on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

and Hund takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cobb darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hund is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hund is aggressively charging in as Cobb backs up avoiding any damage. Cobb tosses out a jab and Hund runs right into it face first! Hund is out cold! Cobb dropped down on all fours and is barking in Hund's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Marciano Cobb!
A very excited looking Marciano Cobb rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
The defeated Borys Hund had this to say: 'I need a rope'.
