Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mauricio Cash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Green Jr! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green Jr fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Cash tries to counter by clinching up but Green Jr breaks away and moves out of range. Green Jr stuffs the takedown. Green Jr moves into the clinch successfully.
Green Jr letting Cash take a breather here. Cash goes for a takedown in the clinch but Green Jr prevents it.
Cash jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Green Jr walks away with a smile on his face. Cash gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Cash. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Green Jr with that takedown attempt. Cash throwing a counter right hand but Green Jr manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green Jr looks for a takedown but Cash sprawls well. Green Jr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cash wants to control but Green Jr is keeping busy and won't allow it. Cash is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cash has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Green Jr is working away from the top position though. Green Jr is trying to control. Cash wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Green Jr is just content to waste time from the top position. Cash takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Green Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cash swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cash really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Cash has Green Jr pulled in close to control his posture. Green Jr trying to control but Cash is working from the bottom. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Cash is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Green Jr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Cash sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cash misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Cash closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Green Jr has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cash after a bit of a struggle. Green Jr is trying to break the clinch but Cash has him pressed against the cage. Cash tries to pull guard but Green Jr won't allow it.
Cash has clasped his hands together around Green Jr's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Green Jr explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Green Jr doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cash counters with a lovely straight right hand! Green Jr looks winded! Green Jr moves into range and clinches up with Cash. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Green Jr tries to pull guard but Cash won't allow it.
Cash wants the takedown. Green Jr is fighting it off but Cash persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Green Jr's guard against the cage. Cash is in close to Green Jr's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Green Jr looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Cash throwing strikes but missing. Green Jr is trying to keep Cash in close.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Green Jr can do anything to dispel that myth. Cash landing some decent shots from guard. Cash scoring with punches to the head and body. Green Jr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tom Green Jr will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Green Jr on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Cash. Cash obviously looking to wear him down.
Cash shoots in for a double leg but Green Jr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Green Jr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cash defends it nicely. Cash misses with a takedown and Green Jr counters with a three punch combo that has Cash backing up. Cash nods at Green Jr to acknowledge the strikes. Green Jr shoots in looking for a takedown but Cash manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Green Jr's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cash pushes Green Jr up against the cage in a clinch. Cash pressing his opponent against the cage. Cash pulls guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green Jr looking to sit in guard and control but Cash gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cash throwing strikes from guard but Green Jr blocks nicely. Green Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cash. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cash lands a couple of digs. Green Jr is trying to control the position but Cash postures up. Cash scoring with some ground and pound. Cash missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Cash connects with a couple of short punches. Green Jr is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Green Jr looking to control.
Cash will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Green Jr is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cash throws a big elbow that misses. Green Jr throws his legs up looking for a submission but Cash uses it to pass to side control.

Green Jr tries to buck Cash off but Cash is having none of it. Cash stands up. Cash misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Green Jr leaves Cash with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Green Jr rushes Cash and presses him up against the cage. Mauricio Cash dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Green Jr rushes Cash and presses him up against the cage. Cash tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Green Jr smiles and moves away.
Cash lands a head kick. Green Jr smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Green Jr darts in looking for a takedown but Cash gets double underhooks and turns Green Jr into the cage. Cash was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Cash throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Green Jr's waist but Green Jr gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cash off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Green Jr is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Cash. That's going to take a lot out of him. Green Jr avoids the head kick by Cash.
A countering left hand to the body from Green Jr misses. Cash fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Green Jr avoids it really well and circles away. Despite the aggression on Green Jr's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

It looks like Mauricio Cash has been cut. Green Jr scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Cash is looking for a sweep. Green Jr trying to control the position but Cash is working away. Mauricio Cash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cash misses with an elbow from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cash wants to control but Green Jr postures up. Cash gets back to half guard. Cash gets full guard. Cash wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Cash looking to hit a scissor sweep but Green Jr is one step ahead there. Cash controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Green Jr throws a head kick that misses. Cash tries to clinch up but Green Jr circles away and keeps his distance. Green Jr has taken the fight to the clinch.
Green Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Green Jr shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cash as he jumps to the side. Green Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tom Green Jr seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cash closes this distance looking for a takedown but Green Jr circles away. And Green Jr tries to counter it with a takedown but Cash pushes his down on his head and steps out. Green Jr stuffs the takedown attempt from Cash. Cash gets slowly back to his feet. Green Jr tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Green Jr looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Cash! Green Jr lands a decent elbow from side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Cash wants to control but Green Jr postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Green Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Green Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
