The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willy looks to score with a jab to the body but Marciano is just out of range.
Mike Marciano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Willy throws out a loose jab but Marciano uses good head movement to avoid it.

Willy drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Marciano defends it well.

and Willy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looked like Marciano was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Willy misses with a hook. Marciano ducked under it nicely.
Marciano clinches up against the cage.
Willy wants to get back to striking at distance but Marciano won't allow it.
Marciano tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Willy smiles and moves away.

Willy blocks a head kick by Marciano.
Willy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Willy lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Willy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marciano tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Willy defends well and Marciano ends up having to push Willy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Willy knocks out Marciano with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Willy before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Willy picks up the big W with a huge KO!
