Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, AJ Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva thows a leg kick but Daniels checks it
and Daniels counters with a takedown into side control.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.
Silva takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Silva is looking for a sweep.
Daniels staying calm.
Daniels is working to tighten his grip on Silva's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Silva has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Daniels is really squeezing tight and eventually Silva passes out! Daniels breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
