PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bennie Dillon (ranked 25418 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zac Turbon (ranked 3318 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Bennie Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zac Turbon!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turbon looks to land a body kick but Dillon moved away.
Dillon seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Turbon shoots in for a takedown but Dillon shows good takedown defense.

Dillon has taken the fight to the clinch.

Dillon pulls Turbon into guard.
Dillon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Turbon wants to control from the top but Dillon keeps moving.
Turbon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dillon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Turbon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Dillon throws a left and a right that both miss
and Turbon counters with a nice body shot.
Dillon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillon fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Turbon tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Turbon lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Turbon fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turbon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dillon is fending him off so far but Turbon persists. Nope, Dillon circles away and we're back to standing.
Bennie Dillon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zac Turbon.
Dillon throws a sloppy head kick and Turbon moves out of range easily.
Dillon slaps away a takedown attempt from Turbon, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dillon appears to be looking for a big counter.

Dillon moves into range and clinches up with Turbon.
Turbon is trying to maintain a safe position but Dillon gets an underhook and turns Turbon into the cage.
Turbon prevents the takedown attempt.
Turbon tries to pull guard but Dillon forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Turbon misses with a punch on the inside.
Dillon is looking to take this one to the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turbon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dillon to keep the fight standing.
Turbon has Dillon pressed against the cage.
Dillon goes for a takedown in the clinch but Turbon prevents it.
Turbon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dillon has him pressed against the cage.
Dillon wants a takedown.
Turbon jumps guard but Dillon stands there with Turbon around his waist. Turbon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dillon decides to pull guard.
Turbon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Turbon wants to control from the top but Dillon keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turbon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dillon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Turbon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Turbon passes Dillon's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Dillon is trying to stand up here but Turbon is controlling him well.
Turbon scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Turbon is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Nice strikes from Turbon there.
Dillon is looking to improve his position.
Turbon working Dillon over with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dillon is trying to stand up here but Turbon is controlling him well.
Dillon tries to kick Turbon off in order to stand up. Turbon Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Turbon scoring with punches and elbows.
Dillon tries to improve position but can't.
Dillon on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Turbon grinds an elbow into Dillon's temple.
Dillon tries to escape but Turbon is in control.
Turbon advances to mount.
Turbon tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dillon working to try and regain half guard.
Dillon is in a horrible position here. Turbon smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.


Dillon is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zac Turbon dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Turbon lands a jab to Dillon's midsection.
Oh Dillon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dillon gets caught napping as Turbon dives in and scores a takedown. Dillon manages to retain guard.
Turbon stays in close to Dillon's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dillon is wriggling around but Turbon manages to pass to half guard.
Dillon is looking to get back to is feet but Turbon passes into side control.
Turbon lands a few punches from side control.

Turbon decides to stand back up. Turbon steps back and let's Dillon get back to his feet.

Turbon is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Dillon is in big trouble! Turbon is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Dillon. Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Zac Turbon!
