Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vinnie Danzig Jr. (ranked 1758 p4p, 194 weight class) and Rasul Mirzaev (ranked 3684 p4p, 371 weight class). Danzig Jr. comes to the cage accompanied by Gouryella - Tenshi. Mirzaev has chosen Natalie La Rose - Somebody ft. Jeremih as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rasul Mirzaev!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danzig Jr. throws a head kick but Mirzaev moves out of range.
Danzig Jr. displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mirzaev throws out the jab.
Danzig Jr. is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mirzaev throws a right hand that misses
enabling Danzig Jr. to counter with a crisp jab.

Mirzaev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mirzaev moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mirzaev looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Danzig Jr. fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mirzaev manages to avoid it.

Danzig Jr. breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Danzig Jr. throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mirzaev sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Mirzaev throws a nice looking combination but Danzig Jr. bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mirzaev looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Danzig Jr. digs a good body shot into Mirzaev's ribs.
Mirzaev tries to close the distance and clinch but Danzig Jr. swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Mirzaev connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Danzig Jr. fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Danzig Jr. takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Mirzaev uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Danzig Jr. has time to react.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mirzaev takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Mirzaev swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
As Mirzaev looks to move away, Danzig Jr. throws a big counter combo but Mirzaev just gets out of the way.

Mirzaev scores with a nice strike.
Danzig Jr. stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Danzig Jr. is looking to score with low kicks.
Danzig Jr. blocks a low kick nicely.
Danzig Jr. fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mirzaev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Mirzaev counters with an outside leg kick.

Danzig Jr. connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mirzaev's hands.

A little jabbing left from Mirzaev on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Mirzaev comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Mirzaev feints and then cracks Danzig Jr.'s leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Danzig Jr. down.

Mirzaev scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The fighters circle momentarily. Mirzaev darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Mirzaev lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Danzig Jr. is trying to push Mirzaev away but Mirzaev has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Danzig Jr. tries to break the clinch but Mirzaev is controlling the position.

Danzig Jr. tries to bum rush Mirzaev with a series of wild strikes but Mirzaev uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Danzig Jr. is rocked!
Mirzaev dances in with a quick combination. Danzig Jr. is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Mirzaev snaps Danzig Jr.'s head back. Danzig Jr. stumbles backwards against the cage. Mirzaev steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Danzig Jr.'s jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Danzig Jr. just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rasul Mirzaev!
A less than humble Rasul Mirzaev misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
The defeated Vinnie Danzig Jr. had this to say: 'He was the better man tonight but I'll be back fir that belt!'.
