Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Dresdner (ranked 3806 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanno Seppanen (ranked 3805 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marco Dresdner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Hanno Seppanen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dresdner fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dresdner lands with a right hand. Dresdner lands with a nice body punch. Seppanen gets the takedown into side control. Seppanen controlling the position from side mount. Dresdner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dresdner tries to get out of the position. It looks like Seppanen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Dresdner is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dresdner is trying to control Seppanen's posture but Seppanen avoids it.

Dresdner takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Dresdner gets back to half guard. Dresdner is trying to maintain the position but Seppanen is very close to passing his half guard. Dresdner is defending against the submission attempts here by Seppanen.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dresdner looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Dresdner has his hands clasped together around Seppanen's back. He's all about the action. Dresdner continues to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dresdner fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Seppanen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The fight stays on the outside here - Dresdner looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dresdner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Seppanen paws at him with a jab and circles away. Dresdner punishes Seppanen's body with a nice straight punch. Dresdner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Seppanen as he jumps to the side. Dresdner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Seppanen is fending him off so far but Dresdner persists. Nope, Seppanen circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Dresdner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Seppanen misses with a head kick.
Seppanen shoots for a takedown but Dresdner saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Seppanen has closed the distance and engaged Dresdner in a clinch.

Seppanen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Marco Dresdner has been cut. Dresdner throws a low kick but Seppanen avoids it. Dresdner shoots for a double leg takedown but Seppanen sprawls well. He's pushed Dresdner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Seppanen misses with a takedown and Dresdner counters with a left to the body. Some wild striking there from Seppanen.

Dresdner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Seppanen pinned against the cage. Seppanen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Seppanen appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dresdner. That's one minute gone in the round. Seppanen rushes Dresdner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dresdner as Seppanen tries to tie him up. Dresdner tries to pull guard but Seppanen holds him up against the cage and eventually Dresdner drops back down to his feet.
Dresdner is trying to force a seperation but Seppanen has the dominant position. Seppanen wants the takedown. Dresdner is fighting it off but Seppanen persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dresdner's guard against the cage. Seppanen stops Dresdner from standing up. Dresdner keeping full guard, as Seppanen tries to pass. Dresdner wants to stand and escape but Seppanen is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dresdner manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Dresdner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dresdner darts in looking for a takedown but Seppanen gets double underhooks and turns Dresdner into the cage. Seppanen changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Dresdner shoots in looking for a takedown but Seppanen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dresdner's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Seppanen misses with a kick to the body.
Dresdner tries to close the distance and clinch but Seppanen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Seppanen drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Dresdner defends it well. Hanno Seppanen seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dresdner has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Seppanen dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Dresdner pulls guard. Seppanen trying to control the position from guard on top but Dresdner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seppanen preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dresdner isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Seppanen stacks Dresdner on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Seppanen! Dresdner is looking to reverse the position. Seppanen wants to control but Dresdner is keeping him busy. Dresdner wants to control but Seppanen postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dresdner is trying to get back to his feet. Dresdner is trying to improve his position. Seppanen works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Dresdner is trying to get back to half guard. Dresdner is trying to control Seppanen's posture but Seppanen avoids it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Seppanen trying to control the position but Dresdner is working away. Hanno Seppanen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Marco Dresdner's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Seppanen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dresdner manages to avoid it. Seppanen wants to clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dresdner strikes from his own guard. Marco Dresdner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hanno Seppanen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Dresdner looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Seppanen has picked Dresdner up and slammed him! Dresdner can't keep hold of the triangle and Seppanen manages to pass to side control!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Hanno Seppanen. Well Seppanen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
