Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy West (ranked 1054 p4p, 148 weight class) and Dennis Nilsen (ranked 1561 p4p, 213 weight class). West's entrance music is Rebelution - So High. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Billy West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dennis Nilsen!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nilsen moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Billy West has been cut.
Nilsen closes the distance and clinches up with West, looking for a takedown. Nilsen pushes West against the cage but West circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nilsen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nilsen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into West's guard.
West pushes Nilsen off and scrambles back to his feet.
Nilsen misses the body punch
and West counters with a stiff right hand.
West throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Nilsen works West's body with a nice hook.
Nilsen tries to clinch but West moves out of range.
Nilsen throws a body shot but no joy.
Nilsen ducks under a wild hook from West.
Nilsen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
West sneaks out the side door and pushes Nilsen away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
West throws a head kick that misses.
Nilsen tries to clinch up but West circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nilsen fails to land the takedown.
West misses with a jab, cross combination.
West misses with a left hand
letting Nilsen counter with a right hand.
West throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Dennis Nilsen has been cut.
Nilsen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches West on the side of the head.
Nilsen takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Nilsen takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Nice sprawl there from West as Nilsen shoots in.
Billy West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dennis Nilsen.
West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nilsen misses with a takedown attempt
and West counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nilsen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. West defends it nicely.
West appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nilsen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A bone on bone clash there as West blocks the leg kick.
Nilsen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
West throws a big counter combination but Nilsen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Nilsen fails with the takedown
and West counters with a stiff right hand.
West takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nilsen connects with a body shot that sends West's belly button to the back.
Nilsen thows a left - swing and a miss!
West lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Billy West is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
West paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
West wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Nilsen wants to clinch but West slips to the side
and West counters with an inside leg kick.
Nilsen with a hook.
Nilsen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
West misses with a low kick as Nilsen jumps back.
Nilsen tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Nilsen tries to clinch but West is having none of it.
Jab, jab by West - just one landing.
Nilsen is rocked!
Dennis Nilsen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Nilsen's jaw. Nilsen's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! West does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Billy West!
