Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chi Chapman (ranked 8039 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruv McDoogle (ranked 5734 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruv McDoogle has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chi Chapman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruv McDoogle!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McDoogle has closed the distance and engaged Chapman in a clinch.

McDoogle pulls guard successfully.

McDoogle looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Chapman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McDoogle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Chapman wants to get up but he can't break McDoogle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDoogle trying to control the position here.
McDoogle is continuing to stall.

Chapman trying to control the position from guard on top but McDoogle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McDoogle tries to strike from the bottom.
McDoogle seems keen to control Chapman's posture.
Chapman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McDoogle looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
McDoogle pulls Chapman in close to prevent any damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McDoogle's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
McDoogle wants to stand up but Chapman is controlling him.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
McDoogle has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

McDoogle bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from McDoogle seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Let's hope that McDoogle has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McDoogle throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Chapman is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
McDoogle has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Chapman!

McDoogle has hold of Chapman's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chapman manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
McDoogle thowing shots but they're missing.

McDoogle throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Chapman is breathing heavily.
McDoogle content just to control the position here.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from McDoogle.
Chapman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McDoogle on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
It looks like McDoogle might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

McDoogle has managed to clinch.

McDoogle lands a takedown into guard.
McDoogle sitting in guard, not really doing much.
McDoogle postures up in Chapman's guard and throws a big left but Chapman blocks it.
Chapman throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDoogle seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bruv McDoogle has got the better of the ground game so far.

Chapman wants to sweep here but McDoogle controlling him for the moment.
McDoogle is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Chapman slips a jab and a cross from McDoogle.

McDoogle darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

McDoogle looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Chapman is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Chapman is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
McDoogle sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDoogle thowing shots but they're missing.
McDoogle looking to control and managing it successfully.
Chapman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
McDoogle thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
McDoogle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McDoogle content just to control the position here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
More stalling from McDoogle.
McDoogle punching from mount but Chapman doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Chapman blocking the ground and pound.

Chapman avoids a series of strikes thrown by McDoogle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruv McDoogle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


McDoogle ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chapman moves away.
McDoogle looks to land a combination but Chapman avoids it well.
McDoogle circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chapman is looking to clinch but McDoogle is avoiding it.
Chi Chapman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chapman throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McDoogle sees it coming and avoids it easily.

McDoogle clinches up against the cage.
McDoogle stalling against the cage.
McDoogle stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McDoogle ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McDoogle no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
McDoogle looking for a sweep. Not yet McDoogle, not yet.
McDoogle is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Chapman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McDoogle is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chapman, into his guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
McDoogle would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McDoogle is pushing down on Chapman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chapman is fighting to maintain full guard but McDoogle has managed to sneak the leg through.
McDoogle lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
McDoogle thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
McDoogle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Chapman trying to get back to full guard but McDoogle takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Poor strikes thrown by McDoogle there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
McDoogle looking to finish with strikes here!
Chapman wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by McDoogle.

McDoogle controlling the position easily from mount.
McDoogle works his way to his opponent's back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McDoogle has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Chapman's body.
Yet more stalling tactics from McDoogle.

McDoogle is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Chapman has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but McDoogle has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Chapman taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. McDoogle doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bruv McDoogle!
