Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Firmino (ranked 5870 p4p, 586 weight class) and Pipi Manu (ranked 5992 p4p, 595 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Firmino tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Firmino tries to close the distance and clinch up but Manu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Manu takes a jab right on the kisser.
Firmino misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Firmino fails with an attempt to clinch.
Manu dives in and grabs Firmino's left leg, looking for a takedown. Firmino pushes down on Manu's head and hops out.
Firmino fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Manu, pushing him back against the cage.
Firmino prevents a takedown attempt there.
Manu can't get the takedown.
Bobby Firmino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pipi Manu.

Manu tries to stall but Firmino uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manu is trying to trip Firmino. He has hold of a leg but Firmino is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Manu persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Firmino on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Firmino tries to get out of the position.

Manu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Manu's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Firmino wants to clinch up but Manu keeps it at a distance.

Manu dives in for a single leg takedown but Firmino sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Firmino avoids a punch combination nicely.
Manu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Firmino sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Manu somewhat.

Manu swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Firmino makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Firmino lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Manu trying to control the position but instead, Firmino has worked for underhooks and has pushed Manu into the cage.
Firmino tries a knee to the head but Manu blocks it.
Manu has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Firmino regains guard immediately.
Firmino wants to get back to his feet but Manu passes into half guard.
Well, if Manu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Firmino is looking for a sweep. Manu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Manu maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Firmino could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Manu has cracked it and Firmino is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Manu!
