Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warren Goldner (ranked 5111 p4p, 494 weight class) and Sal Sizzaro (ranked 7858 p4p, 629 weight class). Goldner comes to the cage accompanied by Battle Symphony - Linkin Park. Warren Goldner has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Warren Goldner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sal Sizzaro! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sizzaro throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sizzaro has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Sizzaro swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Goldner lands a slapping body shot.
Goldner connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Goldner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Goldner with a body punch. A glancing blow. Sizzaro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sizzaro tries to free his leg and advance position but Goldner is retaining full guard. Goldner will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Sizzaro with a flurry of punches that miss. Sizzaro working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sizzaro postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Goldner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Goldner tries to get out of the position. Sizzaro looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Goldner not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sizzaro passes Goldner's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Sizzaro passes the guard and advances to mount! Sizzaro controlling from the full mount. Sizzaro raining down shots from the mount! Sizzaro is landing with some decent strikes but Goldner is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Sizzaro sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sizzaro scoring with strikes but Goldner is staying in there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sizzaro controlling the pace for now. Sizzaro with the ground and pound from mount. Goldner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sizzaro on the ground. Sizzaro controlling from the full mount. Sizzaro cracks Goldner with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Goldner has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sizzaro sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Sizzaro working away from the top, dropping strikes.
It looks like Warren Goldner has been cut. Sizzaro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sizzaro is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Sizzaro!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Sal Sizzaro! Sal Sizzaro was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
