Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ister Band (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ister Band is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Band.
Band shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brown but Brown pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Band throws a hook but Brown avoids it easily.
Band gets the takedown into side control.
Band throws a strike aimed at the side of Brown's head but Brown avoids it well.
Brown tries to bench press Band off him but Band keeps the position.
Band tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Band has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Band misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Brown is not content to let Band control the position.
Brown tries to buck Band off but Band is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Brown's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Brown is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown isn't going anywhere.
Band throws an elbow but Brown slips to the side and avoids it well.
Brown is looking to reverse the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Band fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Band is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
It looks like Ister Band has been cut.

Joshua Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ister Band.
Band throws a lazy right hand but Brown sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Brown!
Brown uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Joshua Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Band throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brown's waist but Brown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Band off to one side.
Band uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brown.
Brown misses with a two punch combination.

Brown stuffs the takedown attempt from Band. Band gets slowly back to his feet.
Brown thuds a left hand into Band's body.
Brown misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brown cracks Band with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Brown throws a body punch but Band moves out of range.
A jab-cross combination lands for Brown and sends Band crashing to the mat! Brown follows him down to the mat - Band regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Brown scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Band is not content to let Brown control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown thows a huge punch but Band dodges it nicely.
Band looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Brown wants to lay and pray for a moment but Band keeps working.
Band is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Band is not content to let Brown control the position.
Band is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Brown's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Brown's back!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Band thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Brown is trying to break free.

Brown covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.

Well, with Band on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Brown is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Band is cranking Brown's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Brown! He's tightened the choke and Brown is tapping out!
