Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Sullivan (ranked 818 p4p, 111 weight class) and Pablo Mara�on (ranked 256 p4p, 42 weight class). Mara�on comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Pistolero kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A thudding body kick lands there by Mara�on!
Sullivan takes a jab right on the kisser.
We've been hearing reports that Sullivan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Mara�on connects with a right hand. Sullivan shakes it off.

Mara�on's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sullivan under the eye.

Sullivan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jeremy Sullivan will probably get the nod.

Sullivan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mara�on pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sullivan jumps guard and drags Mara�on to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mara�on has his hands clasped together but Sullivan extends and breaks Mara�on's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sullivan.
