Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robert Bebe (ranked 25063 p4p, 531 weight class) and Gregg Doolo (ranked 8959 p4p, 490 weight class). Gregg Doolo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert Bebe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gregg Doolo! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Doolo. Doolo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bebe. Doolo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Doolo wriggles free and stands up. Doolo misses with an uppercut. Bebe saw that one coming. The fighters circling - Doolo throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Doolo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Bebe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Doolo waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bebe. Doolo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Doolo loads up on a big right hand but Bebe slips the punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Doolo jabs Bebe to the body, keeping him at a distance. Doolo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Doolo has managed to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doolo scores with a nice hook to the head. A head punch blocked on the inside by Bebe. Bebe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Doolo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Doolo breaks from the clinch.
Bebe swings for the body but Doolo moves out of range.
Doolo lands with a shot to the body. Doolo wants to land a leg kick but Bebe is out of range. Gregg Doolo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bebe shoots for a double leg takedown but Doolo sprawls well. He's pushed Bebe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Doolo misses with a body shot.

Doolo scores with a decent looking hook. Doolo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bebe sees it coming and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bebe. Doolo throws out a counter right but Bebe avoids it with no problem. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Bebe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sloppy strikes from Bebe. Those never looked like landing. Bebe thows a left - swing and a miss! Doolo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bebe.
Bebe drops down looking for a counter takedown but Doolo sprawls and moves away. Doolo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Doolo lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bebe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Bebe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Doolo is doing well to control the position and prevent Bebe from advancing to side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bebe takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Doolo is refusing to be controlled, as Bebe sits in half guard. Doolo keeping control of the position. Bebe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Bebe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Doolo's head. Doolo is looking to improve his position.
Bebe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bebe prevents Doolo from getting the reversal. Doolo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bebe throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Doolo because Bebe loaded up on that one. Bebe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bebe putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Doolo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bebe lands with some strikes. Bebe lands a nice shot to the head. Bebe landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bebe scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Doolo?

A close round but Gregg Doolo will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Bebe throws a hook to the side of Doolo's head but Doolo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Bebe with a lazy takedown attempt and Doolo holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Doolo misses with a body punch.

Doolo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Bebe has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Doolo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. We've been informed that Doolo has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Bebe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Doolo pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robert Bebe. That's going to take a lot out of him. A jab from Doolo misses. Good shot there by Doolo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bebe shoots for a takedown but Doolo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Doolo throws out a counter right but Bebe avoids it with no problem. Bebe throws a jab but it's blocked by Doolo. An inside leg kick lands from Doolo. A big right from Doolo misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doolo works over Bebe's head and body with a nice combination. Bebe with a lazy takedown attempt and Doolo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Doolo lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Doolo. Doolo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bebe throws a low kick but Doolo moves out of range easily. Doolo wants to counter with a clinch but Bebe pushes him away. Doolo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A swing and a miss from Doolo. Doolo misses with a straight right. Doolo jabbing away but nothing is landing. Doolo gets caught flat footed, as Bebe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bebe throws a big right hand that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doolo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bebe drops back looking for a leg! Doolo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Doolo manages to kick Bebe off! Bebe jumps back into Doolo's guard. Bebe trying to control the position from guard on top but Doolo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bebe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bebe slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bebe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bebe postures up in Doolo's guard and throws a big left but Doolo blocks it. Bebe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bebe trying to control but Doolo is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Bebe rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Doolo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Bebe throws a poor cross that misses
and Doolo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Doolo misses with a hook. Bebe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Doolo thumps Bebe with a low kick. Bebe dives in for a single leg takedown but Doolo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Doolo pushes Bebe away with a front kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doolo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bebe in his tracks. Bebe throws the left hand but Doolo avoids the punch easily. Doolo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Bebe fails with a takedown attempt. Gregg Doolo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bebe misses with a lunging right hand
and Doolo counters with a straight right hand. Doolo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bebe. Bebe circles away out of range and recomposes himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Doolo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Nice sprawl there from Doolo as Bebe shoots in. Bebe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Doolo moves away. A big left from Doolo misses. Bebe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Doolo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregg Doolo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Bebe lunges at Doolo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Doolo's hand. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bebe is defended easily by Doolo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bebe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doolo swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bebe looks to throw the jab but Doolo is out of range. Doolo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bebe throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Doolo was covering up waiting for the punch and Bebe finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bebe stops Doolo from standing up. Bebe throws an elbow that misses. Doolo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bebe's guard. Nice move by Doolo! Bebe scores with a short punch from the bottom. Bebe trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Doolo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bebe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Doolo defends it easily. Bebe has his hands on Doolo's head, controlling the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bebe is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bebe distracts Doolo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Bebe lands a couple of decent looking shots. Doolo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bebe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bebe throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Bebe lands a few punches from side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doolo can do anything to dispel that myth. Bebe has an Americana. Doolo didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bebe is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bebe hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
