Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarrod Lynn (ranked 25078 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fighty Fred (ranked 6003 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Fighty Fred was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jarrod Lynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fighty Fred! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fred sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lynn somewhat. A head kick misses from Fred. Lynn shoots in for a double leg but Fred sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Fred scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fred thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lynn is in trouble now - Fred has advanced to mount! Fred controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynn tries to reverse the position but Fred maintains control. Lynn tries to improve his position but instead Fred has taken his back! Fred punches the canvas rather than the man. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fred thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Fred has good solid back control here. Fred has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Lynn has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Fred controlling the position well here. Lynn rolled but Fred kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Lynn needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. Fred has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Fred is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lynn defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Fred throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fred keeps control of the position as Lynn tries to break free.
Lynn is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Lynn is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Lynn breaks Fred's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Fred is adopting a defensive guard. Lynn wants to stand but Fred is controlling his posture from full guard. Fred is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynn wants to stand but Fred has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Lynn preventing the sweep. Lynn tries to stand but Fred is controlling from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fred holds on and takes a little breather. Lynn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Fred gets a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lynn jumps guard but Fred turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarrod Lynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fred has hold of one of Lynn's legs. Lynn is fighting the takedown attempt but Fred gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Lynn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Fred loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lynn wants to stand and escape but Fred is having none of it. Fred gets to his feet. Lynn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Lynn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Lynn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fred just stands there and leans against the cage. Lynn is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fred gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Fred prevents the takedown attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lynn changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fred fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fred closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fighty Fred dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Fred moves into the clinch successfully.
Lynn jumps guard but Fred turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Fred wants to break free but Lynn has control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fred is trying to force a seperation but Lynn has the dominant position. Lynn jumps guard but Fred stands there with Lynn around his waist. Lynn gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Fred drags the fight down to the ground.
Fred has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lynn is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fred. Lynn is trying to get an arm triangle but Fred is defending well. Fred wants to control but Lynn postures up. Fred tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lynn working away. Lynn tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Fred manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lynn's best efforts. Lynn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fred has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Fred wants to control but Lynn is keeping busy.
Lynn prevents Fred from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fred manages to escape and get back to his feet! Lynn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fred sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lynn somewhat. Fred shoots in and gets a takedown into Lynn's guard. Lynn is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Fred is controlling him. Fred stands up from Lynn's guard - Fred perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fred lands a nice looking body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lynn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Fred gets a double leg takedown into Lynn's guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Fred throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lynn works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lynn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lynn being controlled here, momentarily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fred stands up and waves to Lynn to follow him. Fred shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Fred was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fighty Fred showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Fred tries to clinch up but Lynn circles away and keeps his distance. Excellent takedown into side control there by Fred. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lynn is positioning himself to get back to half guard. A lull in the action here as Fred stalls from top position. Fred has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lynn closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fred circles away. Fred tries to counter by closing the distance. Lynn gets caught napping as Fred dives in and scores a takedown. Lynn manages to retain guard. Fred with a flurry of punches that miss. Fred trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fred throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Fred stopping the sweep attempt from Lynn. Fighty Fred has got the better of the ground game so far. Lynn working a defensive guard here.
Fred advances position into side control! Fred wants to control but Lynn is keeping him busy. Lynn is pushing Fred's head away, looking to escape. Fred manages to hold on to the position though.

Fred is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lynn's shoulder. That is not cool. You can see the frustration on Lynn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lynn is letting Fred control him for a moment. Lynn wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Lynn manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Still in half guard, Fred seems content to control. Let's hope that Fred has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynn moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lynn is working an open guard so Fred takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Fred tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fred keeps the fight on the outside. Fred tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Fred clinches up with Lynn and pushes him back against the cage. Lynn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fred just stands there and leans against the cage. Fred stops a takedown attempt from Lynn.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jarrod Lynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fred is trying to break the clinch but Lynn has him pressed against the cage. Fred jumps into guard, dragging Lynn to the mat.
Lynn stops Fred from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fred working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lynn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lynn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are working up against the cage. Fred manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Lynn turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lynn manages to end up in side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Lynn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fred is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Lynn tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lynn has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Fred tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jarrod Lynn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fighty Fred is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Fighty Fred comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Fred has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
