Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Douglas Flynn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Harrogate ! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flynn gets in close and instigates a clinch. Come on Flynn - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Harrogate pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Harrogate swats away the attempt to clinch by Flynn. The fight moves into the clinch position. Harrogate is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Flynn can't fight it off and eventually Harrogate manages to take the fight to the floor. Flynn looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Harrogate controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Flynn working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrogate is fighting to break Flynn's control of his arms but Flynn is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Harrogate stands up from guard. Let's bang! The fight stays on the outside here - Flynn looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Flynn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Harrogate shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Harrogate showed some decent athleticism there. Flynn kicks Harrogate off and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flynn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Harrogate paws at him with a jab and circles away. Harrogate is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Flynn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harrogate as he avoids it easily. Harrogate drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flynn explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harrogate throws a jab when Flynn was well out of range. Flynn closes the distance and pushes Harrogate back into the cage. Harrogate gets control of Flynn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Harrogate will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Harrogate looking to hit a scissor sweep but Flynn is one step ahead there. Flynn missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Flynn will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flynn passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Harrogate wants to get back to his feet. Harrogate is controlling Flynn's trapped leg to prevent Flynn from advancing to side control. Harrogate is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Harrogate takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Harrogate tries to bench press Flynn off him but Flynn keeps the position. Harrogate is trying to work for a sweep but Flynn has mounted him! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Harrogate is trying to stand. Flynn has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Harrogate 's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flynn stuffs the takedown attempt from Harrogate . Harrogate gets slowly back to his feet. Flynn tries to counter by clinching up but Harrogate breaks away and moves out of range. Flynn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Harrogate has him pressed against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harrogate breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Flynn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Harrogate . Douglas Flynn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will Harrogate . Harrogate clinches with his opponent.
Harrogate manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Harrogate controls Flynn momentarily but Flynn frees himself. Flynn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Harrogate is looking for a triangle but Flynn pushes his legs off easily.
Harrogate really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flynn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Flynn cracks Harrogate with a solid left hand. Flynn really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flynn is working Harrogate over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Flynn throws a strike but Harrogate rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Flynn has a closed guard, preventing Harrogate from standing up. Flynn keeping full guard, as Harrogate tries to pass. Flynn keeping moving, preventing Harrogate from controlling successfully. Flynn is adopting a defensive guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flynn wants to sweep but no luck. Flynn doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Flynn is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harrogate defends well. Flynn manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Harrogate pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A momentary lapse in concentration from Flynn enables Harrogate to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Flynn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flynn pushes Harrogate off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Harrogate pushes Flynn up against the cage in a clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Flynn pulls guard effortlessly. Flynn is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Harrogate distracts Flynn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Flynn keeping moving, preventing Harrogate from controlling successfully. Douglas Flynn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Flynn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Harrogate controls the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Will Harrogate will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Harrogate has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Flynn is working away from the top position though. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Flynn is keen to just control but Harrogate is a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Harrogate forces Flynn back against the cage and clinches.
And that's the end of the fight! Will Harrogate comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Harrogate has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
