Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Henderson (ranked 6029 p4p, 644 weight class) and SF Candidate (ranked 6288 p4p, 660 weight class). Henderson comes into the arena with 2Pac - Ambitionz Az A Ridah blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mark Henderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, SF Candidate! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henderson misses with a lunging right hand
and Candidate counters with a straight right hand. Candidate cracks Henderson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Candidate tries for a takedown but Henderson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. It looked like Henderson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Candidate. Henderson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Henderson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Candidate counters with a series of strikes. Henderson will be more careful next time no doubt. Henderson misses with a hook. Candidate ducked under it nicely. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Candidate! But no joy. Henderson scores with a nice strike. A big right from Henderson misses. Candidate looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Henderson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Henderson misses with a hook. Candidate ducked under it nicely. A little jabbing left from Candidate on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henderson throws a lazy uppercut
and Candidate counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Henderson misses with an uppercut. Candidate saw that one coming. Henderson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Henderson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Candidate was well out of range. Poor timing from Henderson. Henderson scores with a sloppy right hand. Candidate should have avoided that one. Henderson cracks Candidate with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Henderson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Candidate to stand back up!
It looks like SF Candidate has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Candidate scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Henderson swings for the body but Candidate moves out of range.

and Candidate counters with a left and a right that stings Henderson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Henderson stuns Candidate with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Henderson looks to score with a jab to the body but Candidate is just out of range. Candidate is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Henderson with a body shot. Mark Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Candidate defending well as Henderson loads up on a big left hand. Candidate's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Henderson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Candidate scrambles back to his feet. Henderson misses with a hook. A jab from Henderson misses. Henderson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Henderson thows a left - swing and a miss! Henderson cracks Candidate with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Henderson slips a straight right by Candidate. A quick step to the side and Henderson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Candidate is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Henderson swings for the body but Candidate moves out of range.
Henderson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Henderson throws out a loose jab but Candidate uses good head movement to avoid it. Candidate goes for a double leg but Henderson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Henderson continues to drive forward. Henderson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Candidate looks winded! Henderson throws a hook to the side of Candidate's head but Candidate sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Henderson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Candidate throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Henderson's waist but Henderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Candidate off to one side. Mark Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of SF Candidate. Henderson just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Henderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Candidate. Candidate circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Candidate ducks under a wild hook from Henderson. Candidate lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Candidate ducks under a wild hook from Henderson. Candidate staying out of range there. Candidate throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Henderson throws a sloppy body shot
and Henderson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Henderson scores with a hook. This has been an exciting period of action! Henderson throws a jab when Candidate was well out of range. Candidate swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Henderson cracks Candidate with a right hand to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Henderson dominated that round. The cut man is working on SF Candidate's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Candidate walks into a stiff left hand from Henderson. Candidate looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. An attempted straight right counter from Henderson misses the target. Henderson sends Candidate crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Henderson is motioning to the referee to let Candidate up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Candidate is rocked! Candidate fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Henderson avoids it really well and circles away. Candidate is still on wobbly legs! Can Henderson finish him? Henderson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Candidate. Candidate seems to have recovered his senses. Henderson lands with a good body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Henderson throws a big shot that misses. Candidate is breathing heavily. Candidate slips a jab from Henderson. Candidate slips under a jab from Henderson. Candidate throws out a counter right but Henderson avoids it with no problem.

Henderson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Candidate uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Henderson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Candidate slips a jab from Henderson. Henderson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Candidate sprawling to the canvas! Candidate rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Henderson finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Henderson fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Candidate square on the jaw! Damn, Candidate is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
