Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matvey Pavlov (ranked 677 p4p, 35 weight class) and Harry Harrington (ranked 2848 p4p, 132 weight class). Pavlov's entrance music is Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harry Harrington!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Paulo Santos and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harrington's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Harrington duly obliges.
Harrington stuffs the takedown.
Harrington fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pavlov manages to avoid it.
Harrington punishes Pavlov's body with a nice straight punch.
Pavlov fails with a takedown attempt.
Pavlov looking to score a takedown here. Harrington is defending well but Pavlov drives through and ends up in Harrington's guard.
Pavlov has gone for a leg lock! Harrington slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pavlov's guard.
Pavlov working for a triangle but Harrington defends it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pavlov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harrington can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pavlov seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Pavlov pulls Harrington in close to his closed guard and prevents Harrington from doing any damage or advancing position.

Harrington wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Pavlov's closed guard. He's half up but Pavlov has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Pavlov pivots and extends the arm, Harrington falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Pavlov! Well done that man!
