Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caludio Hinampas (ranked 8543 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luka Giou (ranked 4183 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giou throws a poor cross that misses
and Hinampas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Hinampas lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Hinampas forces Giou back against the cage and clinches.
Giou has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

and Hinampas counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Giou tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hinampas was well out of range. Poor timing from Giou.
Hinampas throws a series of punches but Giou avoids them all with ease.

and Hinampas counters with a nice low kick that buckles Giou's knee momentarily.

Giou's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Hinampas controls Giou momentarily but Giou frees himself.

Hinampas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And Giou tries to counter it with a takedown but Hinampas pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Hinampas dodges the punch combination from Giou.
Hinampas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Giou.
Hinampas moves into the clinch.
With the fighters up against the cage, Hinampas throws an elbow but misses.
Giou blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Hinampas unloads a knee to the mid-section. Giou lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hinampas putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Giou in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Giou jumps guard and drags Hinampas to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Hinampas tries to stand but Giou is controlling from the bottom.

Hinampas wants to stand but Giou has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Giou is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hinampas stopping the sweep attempt from Giou.

Hinampas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Giou is proving hard to escape from.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Giou can do anything to dispel that myth.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Some wild striking there from Giou.
A slapping leg kick lands for Hinampas.
Hinampas scores with the left hand. Giou knows he should have avoided that one.
Hinampas fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Giou on the side of the head.
Hinampas lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Giou circles away quickly and effectively.
Hinampas takes the fight into the clinch.
Hinampas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Giou can do to turn this around?
Giou manages to break the clinch.
Giou stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hinampas.
Giou throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hinampas cracks a nice hook into Giou's ribs.
Giou gets tackled into the cage by Hinampas. Hinampas maintains the clinch.
