Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anibal Petersen (ranked 24926 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shingai Magaya (ranked 25144 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anibal Petersen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shingai Magaya! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Petersen pushes Magaya up against the cage in a clinch. Stalling in the clinch from Magaya.
Magaya gets a trip takedown into half guard. Petersen is trying to escape back to his feet but Magaya uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Petersen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Magaya wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petersen prevents Magaya from moving into mount. Magaya trying to control the action but Petersen is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Petersen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Magaya moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Petersen wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Petersen is looking for a sweep. A lull in the action here as Magaya stalls from top position. Petersen is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Magaya working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Magaya decides to stand back up. Magaya steps back and let's Petersen get back to his feet. Magaya throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Petersen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Magaya is in Petersen's guard. Magaya wants to control from the top but Petersen keeps moving. Magaya gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Magaya is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Petersen's half guard. Magaya wants to control but Petersen is keeping him busy. Petersen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petersen is trying to stand back up but Magaya is controlling him
Petersen is holding on to half guard well. Magaya is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Petersen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Magaya. Petersen regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Magaya.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Magaya throws a strike but Petersen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Magaya keeping moving, preventing Petersen from controlling successfully. Petersen content to stall in guard here. Magaya is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Petersen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Magaya has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Petersen has managed to get both his arms back between Magaya's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shingai Magaya will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Magaya shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Magaya showed some decent athleticism there. Petersen makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Magaya lands a left and a right that send Petersen crashing to the mat, dazed. Magaya thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Petersen is rocked!
It looks like Anibal Petersen has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Magaya dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Petersen has had enough and taps out.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Shingai Magaya!
